My own child, now a teen, uses his itouch to help him organize his assignments at school. He also takes notes on his itouch about videos he has to watch for assignments, and to surf the web. He bookmarks websites that go along with his social studies research, and he has also emailed assignments from his mac to his email account so he could travel lighter at times, to do his work.
I think many younger middle school students could benefit from the apps available for itouch and ipads, and since we are moving at the speed of light, a touch screen won’t be leaving us soon! They should get used to using one!
I think my sixth graders would love to use them in class! It would help them stay engaged, and organized!
RT @macworld: Are you upgrading from the first iPad to an iPad 2? @lexfri has some ideas for what to do with your old iPad: http://ow.ly ... 12 years ago
